They all of the prefixes in the set were the same. The button programming mode could not be entered under any circumstances. I experimented by pressing and holding the SET button or the white power button for as long as five minutes, in addition to trying other buttons and their combinations. All unsuccessful. It would appear that my remote control does not support this particular function. Is it feasible to replace a defective remote control with another one and have it work?
