The stand comes with the necessary loosening and tightening hex key for adjustment. You need to make sure you have a good and comfortable one. The biggest issue is that not only does it hold the laptop in any position — you'll definitely need to spend some time tweaking and testing it. If you try to go too high, you will shift your center of gravity and it will fall. However, it is solidly made and offers good value for money. After dialing it in, I was able to elevate my 2016 15-inch MacBook Pro to a height where I would no longer break my neck looking at the screen while working. While not 100% perfect, it's a stand that I highly recommend.
