Review on High-Quality Replacement Fuel Pump for Yamaha Zuma 125 2009-2015 | OE# S9-E3907-10-00 by Dion Jeep

Better than OEM for 2012 Zuma 125

Initial installation will be difficult until you learn how to take your scooter apart. I collapsed and lost a few pieces in the process. It probably took 2 hours or so since I've never done this before. But if I had to do it all over again, it would take about 30 minutes. Used in Zuma125 2012. The pump started to fail. When it was hot you turned the key and the light came on but you couldn't hear the pump priming. Then it will work fine next time. I have not made any other diagnoses. But based on research, this was the likely culprit, and it turned out to be correct. They disassembled the fuel pump assembly, which Yamaha says is a non-serviceable part because it contains the pump and fuel gauge. But once you do that and put all the mess back together, the pump is amazing! I've definitely noticed more flashes in the Zuma. Maybe a few mph on the top end, but overall much more springy and responsive. I'm glad I took the time to do this when mine started failing.
