I have an original 2014 Buddy 170i that really needs help. Part of the process of getting it roadworthy again was replacing the drive belt. I did a little research and found this Gates belt to be the closest match to a factory belt I could find. Yes, there is a more expensive version of Gates Kevlar, but for the money (well under $20) it does the job and should last a reasonable amount of time. Double check the owner's manual but I understand that the Buddy 125, Buddy 150 and Buddy 170i use essentially the same transmission with the same drive belt. I know that Genuine haven't really changed the Buddy 170i since it came out in the late 2000's so it will fit all 170i model years. Overall it works great, no weird noises and I'm happy with it.
