I have a receiver in one room and a second receiver in another room. I measured a significant voltage difference between the output of one and the input of the other. It was a classic ground loop. From this difference, I learned that one of the outlets wasn't even grounded. This product isolated devices even if a device was not grounded. No hum, no noticeable signal loss, no change in frequency response. The only voltage measured is what should be present at the RCA jack. Both outlets are now grounded but this product still helped.
