I decided to purchase this PSU because the non-G+ model was out of stock. Although this one was $10 less at the time of viewing and had many more reviews, I'm ultimately glad I chose this one. I think the main difference is that the G+ model is slightly shorter in overall length. The fact that this was G+ Prime was a big plus too, no pun intended. I received the power supply a few days after ordering and the installation was easy. I don't know how some people got a bad PSU or what happened when they installed it, which has led to the horror stories you may have read, but I assure you that this EVGA power supply is a quality product. Take your time, be careful with your connections and enjoy this superb powerhouse. i know i will
