Review on 🍵 BTaT- Insulated Coffee Mugs: Glass Tea Mugs Set of 4 - 12 oz Double Wall Glass Cups by Jason Lockwood

More durable than you think.

I was going to wait a few months to review these mugs just to make sure they would stand the test of time a little. I have to say that this is one of the few times I've been completely satisfied with a purchase I wasn't initially sure about. Rather than just saying that these mugs have proven to be functional and durable, I'll give you a rundown of their typical weekly lifecycle over the past few months so you can judge for yourself: - I'm taking them out of the cupboard. , fill them with cold tap water and pop them straight into the microwave where I heat the water to a boil (yes, I'm a dirty American who microwaves water for tea). Remarkably, I have a 700W microwave, so it takes longer to boil water in it. There is a chance that more powerful microwaves will result in more heat stress due to the faster heating, so keep that in mind. If I add milk, sugar or honey after brewing tea, I stir it with a metal spoon, being careful NOT to hit the walls - When it's done, the cup goes in the sink along with all the other dirty dishes . They don't have a separate, special place to live, they're mixed up with everything else. They fall straight out of the sink into the dishwasher. The only concession I make here is that they are only placed on the top shelf. After washing in a general wash cycle with a heat drying cycle, they are returned to the closet. All 4 mugs I own go through this cycle at least once a week and none are broken, cracked, cracked or even scratched. as far as I can tell. The ONLY issues I've noticed are: - Some have developed (or ended up showing, which is probably more accurate) some streaks in the glass walls after a few uses, probably as a result of leftovers from the manufacturing process. - With one or two of these (and I know that sounds like a veiled compliment, but it's really a bit annoying) the inner walls of the cup are so perfectly smooth that the water can actually overheat without boiling, one of those things The day you put something in it - something like a spoon or tea bag - the water immediately begins to boil violently for a few seconds. Those minor issues aside, these mugs have proven to be wonderful, durable, functional, and really beautiful mugs that I highly recommend.
