Still using this KVM switch as of this writing. One of the console's two USB ports dies - I used to have a keyboard there, but it's a mouse now, so it's a lot less frustrating. The replacement is coming this week. I bought this KVM to power the laptop's video port. What does he do. It shifts properly and does a good job overall. A dying USB connector is probably a quality control issue, not a design issue, and it's been around for a long time. It took some work to understand this. At first I thought it was a power issue as it would go away for a while after cycling the KVM. Then I thought it might be a problem with the cable going to one of the computers. I replaced everything, including the mouse and keyboard, and ended up confining them to one of the console's USB ports. If you buy one, you might get lucky and receive it eight months later with no port issues. In terms of design and functionality I would give five stars but as I feel I can't rely on their quality control I have to drop it to three and won't be buying another.
