Review on Efficient Key Programmer and Key Fob Designed for Chrysler, πŸ”‘ Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Volkswagen Vehicles: Easy Keyless Entry Remote Fob & Key by Kevin Nelson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is a good OEM alternative and we recommend trying it out.

I was able to program it to work with my RAM and it works. Now I can clean my factory and if I break or lose it I have a factory keyfob to program another. I gave it 3 stars because it took a lot more effort to set up than it should have. I really had a problem. where alternative keys (with remote start) did not work. I later found the contact sleeve for the buttons in the box. Contacts should be glued in the same way as the main buttons. - The instructions say the key fob should have lightbulbs, but I didn't see them. I continued the steps and it worked. They need to update the instructions.- The panic button is pushed through the ignition key slot when I remove the fob from the ignition due to button and housing issues. WARNING! - WORKING KEY FOB REQUIRED. Programmer with the first vehicle. So you can't use it on your buddy's car - You can't use the programmer on OEM key fobs ADVANTAGES: - It's much cheaper than an OEM - It's lighter than my factory key fob. In fact, I prefer to have less weight in my bags. CONS: The internal design of the case is different from the OEM, so you can't buy an OEM replacement case. Due to the way the battery was attached, you will need to purchase a case specifically designed for this key fob. My case does not stay sealed so I will request a replacement. The "Remote Start" buttons do not work. "Contacts" are glued, they are on a plastic insert. - There is no RAM logo on the back. However, this does not bother. My panic button is too sticky.
