Doesn't really do much
You might as well have had a bottle of water handy. It will do pretty much the same thing. Does not relieve static electricity in the long term, but calms it temporarily. Once it dries it will help you a lot. But it's nice to have a small spray bottle in my drawer for bad detention situations. I refill water as soon as I'm empty and save money.
