Love, love, love this collar! The metal clasp is RELIABLE! I never worry about the clasp breaking. This is my third (bought a new one every time we had to evaluate my pup). The latter has been around for 6 months now and is holding up really well! It doesn't fold like other cloth collars, which I really like! The D ring slides around the collar which is great so you don't have to twist the collar around his neck to get to him. There is a separate ring for his dog tags which is thinner which is great as you don't stretch the ring that the dog tags are attached to to attach them to the collar. (Also allows me to use a smaller label clip to change the collar in one go. A must for water loving labs as I use a separate collar in the water and keep it nice and dry.) wet several times and not a single rust spot on the close! Highly recommend this collar! Don't worry about the plastic cracking or breaking under the weight of the pulling dog! Works great if you need to use a tie for your dog like we have when camping etc. It's sized for that. This collar has stood the test of time and is strong enough to handle a very energetic Labrador. A must for large dog owners!
