I have three tanks and they all contain Super Naturals substrate. Two have Tahitian Moon and my small 5 gallon tank has Torpedo Beach. When I was new to this hobby I started with substrates from big department stores that sell colored substrates which leach and I don't think can be healthy for fish in the long run. At the moment I will not buy anything other than the Caribbean. Super Naturals is NOT artificially colored and always looks great under LED lighting. Also, it's better to use sand than coarse gravel because food and other debris will remain on the surface of the sand, making it easier to clean. Natural Torpedo Beach is a very, very light beige color and the grit is a bit coarser than I expected. However, it adds volume to the aquarium and looks good while still providing the easy cleaning I've been looking for.
