This straightening brush is AWESOME! I have really strong parts and "cow corners" that are almost impossible to straighten or calm down with a flat iron or curling iron! This comb reaches the base of the scalp but the heating teeth are covered but provide an outer barrier so you cannot touch the heated part even if you wanted to (the straightener will not burn your forehead). It heats up instantly and to a fairly high temperature. To work! How I would have liked to have had this product 25 years ago! I gave low stars for drying as this product is not designed to dry hair. This is a very high quality, not a cheap plastic product!
