I took the scouts on a hike despite the snowfall and asked their opinion on these binoculars. They were all very good and easily recognizable items. During the migration they saw a redstart, a blue jay and a cardinal. The falcon is perched high up in the tree so that all the boys can see it clearly. Best of all is the autofocus. Since we lived near Buffalo, New York, we had to dress for the cold and wear gloves. Because it's autofocus, the boys didn't have to take off their gloves to focus on the birds. I, a big-faced adult, found them too small for my use, although I could use them. I highly recommend them for children under 18 years old. They have excellent eyesight and are very easy to use.
