Finding an adapter for your MacBook Pro can be a challenge, many don't work. (unsupported chipset) When I first plugged in the adapter, it didn't work. Opened up the network controls and plugged it back in and it immediately made a wired connection to the router. After that it was just plug and play. MacBook pro 2019. I had a previous adapter that is no longer supported by Apple. This one replaced it and seems to work great with the new software and MacBook Pro. Make sure the connector is fully inserted into the computer and check the control panel if you find any problems.
