I'm just finishing my first winter in Minnesota in this jacket. We haven't had a very cold winter this year, but I walk my German Shepherds every day, whatever the weather and weather. I was surprised that this jacket works so well. On very cold days I only wore a flannel shirt under my jacket and even with wind gusts up to 45+ m/s. and I was able to get warm enough to walk 2 miles with my backpack. I have had several other shirt jackets and none have been as warm or as good as this jacket. I've usually had problems with zippers, buttons or lining when adding pickets after just one winter, but this one is completely intact and almost exactly as new. I expect many winters in use. A quality shirt jacket that you can buy with confidence. I am very happy with this jacket.
