I'm just finishing my first winter in Minnesota in this jacket. We haven't had a very cold winter this year, but I walk my German Shepherds every day, whatever the weather and weather. I was surprised that this jacket works so well. On very cold days I only wore a flannel shirt under my jacket and even with wind gusts up to 45+ m/s. and I was able to get warm enough to walk 2 miles with my backpack. My husband loves this jacket. He doesn't like anything too heavy or bulky and wears it every day throughout the winter. This is his second. He wore the first just like that; daily all winter about 3 winters. The jacket was in good condition but the zipper was broken. I know that flash quality is an issue for some. It's plastic but we didn't feel like the jacket let us down after 3 winters of everyday use. The price has gone up a bit but we still think it's a bargain for the money. Also, the 2XL

My son loves these, we call them 'Shackets' because they are a mix shirt and jacket. He loves it so much that he tries to wear it in summer in the hot, 100+ crazy Midwest weather. I love this jacket. It fits perfectly. I love that it has a zip and buttons instead of regular buttons and an inside pocket. It is very warm and the material of the blanket is very soft. I also like that it has a detachable hood. The zipper is plastic and doesn't seem very durable. It's already glued underneath, you just have to be very careful when attaching it so as not to damage it.
