Review on 🚜 Fleetguard LF16035: The Ultimate Oil Filter for Superior Performance in Dodge Ram Cummins Diesel Engines by Ricky Cruise

ATTENTION TO THE BUYER! on filter

I never had any problems with Fleetguard products until I bought these. I have worked with diesel trucks for over a decade and have NEVER had an o-ring failure like this. I put one of these on my 14 Ram 2500 and the o-ring was fine when I rubbed it with a light coat of clean oil before installing it on the truck. After driving a few miles, I noticed my oil pressure gauge dropping like a rock. The truck lost over a gallon of oil in just 15 minutes of driving! I stopped and checked to see if it was tightened and it was, I tried to tighten it even more. I refilled my emergency oil and drove home, it was still dripping. After cleaning the underside of my truck of over 2 gallons of fresh oil, I removed the filter and found a two-piece o-ring! I dug an oil Fleetguard oil filter out of the junk (never had a problem) and tried breaking the o-ring and it turned out to be amazingly strong. "Luckily" I had another oil filter to put back on the truck. That crappy o-ring cost me over 3 gallons of Rotella 5w-40 synthetic oil and about a gallon and a half of Lucas HD oil additive, not including the filter, which I broke trying to tighten and then loosen it. It's a great miracle that I ended up driving a truck (usually the wife drives) and paying enough attention to the oil pressure or it could have ruined the engine! And left me or my family stranded! Not sure if it's fake or I was just unlucky and got a defective one in a million. I couldn't find a way to contact the seller before posting this review. Maybe they'll see it and fix it. I have attached photos.
