I ordered two of these fans, one matte black with brass and one matte white with brass. They are really beautiful, good quality and the remotes and app work great so far. However, I regret having installed them myself as an individual with limited manual skills (I fully admit that this was my first and last fan installation). The instructions provided are inadequate and imprecise, and the drawings are of little help. There are a few instances where they illustrate DO's and NO's and the damn things look the same. It's like a spot the difference puzzle, only microscopic and there are no differences. As this fan works remotely and can also be used intelligently with Alexa etc, it includes a receiver that needs to be installed in a bracket, as well as extra long, long cables and an even longer tether for installing the roof beams (as if). Even cut to a manageable length after all the wires were paired and plugged in, the flashlight was so packed with wires, caps, cords and receivers that I almost lost my mind trying to attach the flashlight to the mount. A regular screwdriver won't fit between the hood and engine case, so I used a longer screwdriver. The instructions state that the lighting kit should be installed after the fan is installed. I don't recommend this or you'll have to fiddle around with tiny screws in the air. Install it after the blades are done but before the bottom stem, then all you have to do is attach the glass ball at the end. I also recommend removing the security cable entirely if you don't plan on using it to save valuable space under the dome (I didn't realize this until fan #2). It unscrews from the light kit area and slides straight out. There is nothing in the form of tutorial videos on the manufacturer's website and I didn't find any on YT, but some other good people downloaded fan installation tutorials from another brand, WAC Modern. To form. Nothing certain about this fan, but close enough to be of great help to me.
