What Indian Heel Shift should have been

I installed Heel Shift about four months ago as one of the first add-ons for my (new to me) 2014 Chief Vintage. Before buying, I compared this Kuryakin heel with an Indian product. Since "official" Indian jewelry is expensive on the secondary market, I wasn't surprised that the Kuryakyn model cost less than half the price of an Indian. And the Kuryakyn heel change offers a better design - the change is located under and behind the back of the floorboard. The full use of the floorboard surface for footrests is practically not disturbing. Out of the box, you'll appreciate the finish and the solid weight of the structure. Chrome was applied evenly and without defects. Installation was easy after going through the poorly written instructions. As another reviewer pointed out, be sure to use shims when installing to ensure the offset is properly aligned. I also noted another reviewer's suggestion to use a shorter pin, as a longer pin can interfere with your left calf when your foot is on the ground. I preferred a larger diameter pen so bought this pen: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002OPPSGU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It is thicker and shorter. I think you can add any binding that suits your preferences. In general, I was satisfied with the functionality and the price. This is a piece of gear that, while not mandatory, is very nice to carry around on a backpack.
