Works great - layer

Fits under the floorboard to avoid being in the way. I like this style. The 1/4" spacers push out the bottom plate to make room for work and don't seem to affect the bike's carrying capacity or looks. Makes shifting easier, highly recommend and this is from a guy who thought the heel shift was stupid.

Should have come on the bike

I know some riders don't like the heel derailleur I think they should be on all touring bikes. When I bought my 2020 Indian Roadmaster I knew I was going to add a shifter. I was going to put an OEM in, but after reading the reviews I settled on the Kuryakinsky shifter. I couldn't be happier. The switch takes up no floor space as it is lifted from below. I recommend Indian swivels because the back should be short. My first was too long and hit my calf as I stood still. Upgrading the Indian front

Works much better than the Indian version!

I was also scammed into buying an Indian version of the heel switch for my Chieftain LTD. It's too expensive to install. Worse, it was a security risk! The Indian counter heel covered at least a third of the floorboard. I only wear a size 10 shoe, but my foot was always turned almost square when I leaned on the floorboard. It was uncomfortable and distracting. Crazy. The person who designed the OEM heel switch never used one. It was funny. This sits a hook behind the board - just as it should…

Works great with Challenger

Challenger is not listed but fits perfectly. I originally had an Indian pinnacle heel shifter and hated it. Indian chose to mimic the Harley shifter instead of the excellent Victory heel shifter. This Kuryakn derailleur works the same as the Victory heel derailleur in that it doesn't touch your ankle and allows you to use the entire footboard. You can adjust the height to your liking, so you only have to lift your heel slightly to touch the shift pin, unlike the Pinnacle shifter where you have…

Great Heal Shifter - much better than the Indian version

I've had this Heal Shifter on my Roadmaster recently and I really like it. I originally had the Indian version but didn't like how it sits over the floorboard and restricts leg movement. The Indian also required that my leg be raised unnaturally high so that I could actually move. This Kuryakin sits in a great spot at the very back on the floor. It's a very natural shifting movement and I can use the entire bottom plate. The only caveat is that you have to buy a short pin for this shifter…

What Indian Heel Shift should have been

I installed Heel Shift about four months ago as one of the first add-ons for my (new to me) 2014 Chief Vintage. Before buying, I compared this Kuryakin heel with an Indian product. Since "official" Indian jewelry is expensive on the secondary market, I wasn't surprised that the Kuryakyn model cost less than half the price of an Indian. And the Kuryakyn heel change offers a better design - the change is located under and behind the back of the floorboard. The full use of the floorboard surface…
