I needed a stand that I could use with my phone around the house (at the table, in the kitchen, when folding clothes) but easy to detach when I leave the house , so it does. My phone is bulky in my pocket. This stand offers it very well. I have a MagSafe case that works well with charging cases and pucks, but it doesn't hold this charging case strong enough to carry in my bag when I go out - it slips off too easily. I've tried this stand without a case and it holds tighter, but I don't plan on carrying my phone without a case.
