These are high quality, thick porcelain bowls. All my dinnerware is white porcelain (most of it is crate and barrel essentials) and as you can hopefully see in the dishwasher photo, these bowls are leaning slightly more ivory than my other dishes. Not a big deal to me though, it's close enough. These washed up perfectly in the dishwasher and are a great size (that is a full size dinner plate in the dishwasher next to it). They feel just as heavy and durable as all my other dishes and I'm certain they will last a long time. I am pleased with these and would recommend!
