They get terribly dirty.
I will never buy again! They are less flexible than regular washcloths or terry cloth, making them harder to get into nooks and crannies. I bought the white ones thinking I can bleach them if they get stained. NOT SO! I can't get the stains out. I washed them in the washing machine and soaked them in Clorox, water and liquid soap overnight. The stains stay. What a waste of money!
