Is it as good as it looks? Absolutely! I give workshops and paint professionally and am always looking for great brush sets for on the go and for my students. Really good brushes, springy and resilient, hold water and paint perfectly. I was very impressed with the included wash brush and the little palette hidden in the back sleeve. He even has a sturdy, decent-sized metal spatula to mix with all the other goodies. Considering the cheap price for the whole package and the fact that this is a great set for traveling and painting outdoors, I will definitely recommend it to my students and artist friends! You will not be disappointed! The only minor issue was that the plastic zip on the case was a bit sticky, but a little rubbing with a bar of soap fixed it. product +!
