According to other reviewers, the first thing you need to do is replace the air port adapter. You use some glue, so two wrenches and some muscle power. I haven't found any issues with leaks or anything like that. Make sure your car's gas lines are depressurized before use. You do this by removing the pump relay or fuse and cranking the car until it stops. You can also depressurize the gas tank by opening the tank cap. Takes less than a minute. Check the hoses for pressure by squeezing them before opening any lines and cover the connection you are working on with a rag to catch any residual gas and splatter that may occur. It took approximately 30 minutes at 50psi to fill a bottle of cleaner (OTC 7000A-1, 16 oz) (you may have different pressure requirements). Before dismantling, make sure that there is no pressure. On the 2007 SX4 I used the largest hose adapter with clamp. Hoses can be difficult to slip off. I used pliers, twisted the tubing back and forth a bit to break the seal, then with the pliers placed in front of the end of the tubing I squeezed the pliers and was able to pull the tubing off without damaging it. Overall result: smoother idling and slightly better acceleration I think.
