Review on Black SureFire E1B-MV Backup Flashlights - Dual Output LED With Advanced MaxVision Beam Technology by James Sevenfourgd

Surefire Quality. - my new review

Have owning several Surefire flashlights this one fills a hole in my collection. I purchased this for EDC usage & have been carrying for around a month now in my left front jeans pocket ( right pocket dedicated to Benchmade knife). The quality is as expected need I say more. This is the first Surefire Maxvision I have ever owned so I was very excited to test it out. Results: I’m really impressed how smooth the food beam spills out, the color is white & the 400 lumens could fill a room, light up my front yard or surly blind someone if needed. As expected the throw is not going to be that of other models. If I need throw I’ll break out my Fury DFT Intellibeam.Update: the rechargeable batteries only last 20 minutes. Barely gets me through a dog walk. The throw away batteries last a little longer but definitely not a fuel efficient system with the rechargeable batteries. Take it for what it’s worth. Come on Surefire, please don’t let China pass you by. (Former Navy weapons specialist)

Pros
  • Decent light for the size
Cons
  • The black coating may chip or scratch easily over time
