The lights work very well, we tested them before adding them to the tree and there are no faults in the 3 strand test we ordered . The strand is light and does not go down, the branches of the onion are small, but spectacular. It has a small white button on the plug that allows you to change the light pulse settings. In the video you can see that I demonstrated 2 settings. Each strand has about 10 feet of bare strand from the base to the first bulb, which I like a lot since I don't have lights hanging under the branches. The downside is that I have to hide the bare strand after I connect the second strand. The only issue I have is that I haven't seen anywhere in Revain's description that one cable can't be connected to another like standard devices. I had to buy a small pack of male to female adapters for this purpose, they will be here in a few days. Joining at least 2 strands is an option, but I won't be able to join the tip for wood as the cord at the very top is very short. It also means you can't hook up a 3rd thread. Shouldn't be a problem if you have a small tree, I have a 7.5 foot unlit thunder fir that is 4.5 feet in diameter and 2 will do. Overall I am satisfied with the product for the purchase price. Works better than expected. Maybe I just need to find the best option to hook up the topper for next year.
