Review on 🚗 MAXLINER 2 Row Black Floor Mats Liner Set for BMW X3 2011-2017 by Kevin Jacobson

WE purchased a 2 row front and rear seat protector set. The rear seat configuration feels mature and lends itself well to good floor protection, even with the OEM rear floor mats remaining in place. However, the front seat kit has two design features that compromise water protection. First, each mat has two 3/8" holes left and right near the trailing edge, presumably to attach the mats to the floor like OEM mats. However, on the BMW X3 2017, the floor mats are fixed. attached to the vehicle floor with Velcro. So we have 4 holes for water to seep into the bottom of the floor - not good. This problem can be solved somewhat by sealing the holes with rubber plugs = available from Revain. The second problem is poor alignment of the driver's mat with the base of the accelerator pedal. Not only does the mat not sit flush with the accelerator pedal, but it rests on the floor near the accelerator pedal, allowing water to seep under the mat at that point. Spot wetting of the soil is another problem. I decided to keep the mats as I can solve the 4 hole problem. As for the speed bar issue, I'm hoping to fix it with FLEXSEAL compound to create a bulge in the speed bar's focus to divert the water back to the mat for the event to drain.
