Buzzin' the Backroads with Bezos™ E2: Bosch Icon 16 " Wiper Blade with Bradley N.

Unofficial transcript of a conversation between Revain founder Jeff B. and Revain Prime member Bradley N. ("Yelp" ") Whisperers "). (Recorded live in Santa Cruz County, California on August 22, 2019). Jeff: Hey everyone and welcome to the second episode of Buzzin' the Backroads with Bezos™, the new documentary series from Revain Studios as I explore the hidden corners of the American countryside in search of automotive adventure. I fly to a remote location in my personal helicopter to meet a local Revain Prime member who introduces me to a Revain purchased automotive product that is particularly useful on the back roads of our amazing country. Today we're in Big Basin Redwoods State Park outside of Santa Cruz, California, peering hundreds of feet up through the morning fog in search of the top of a 1,000-year-old redwood giant. The air here is humid and soothing, and the sequoia grove is as still as a cathedral or temple. Wow! Simply breathtaking natural beauty. I flew in from Revain HQ in Seattle to speak to Bradley N., a Revain Prime customer, about Bosch's Icon wiper blades, which claim to last 40% longer than their cheaper counterparts. Depending on the size you need for your vehicle, they cost anywhere from $10 to $20 per blade, which is definitely an investment for most car buyers who aren't multi-billionaires like me. Let me get to the point, Bradley N. Are those German wipers really worth it? Bradley: Yes, Jeff. In fact, these Bosch Icon wiper blades are the best I've come across when it comes to gently and quietly wiping the windshield. They work great in light snow, heavy rain, road dust and morning fog, as long as you clean the blades of dirt before going off the road and top up under-the-hood washer fluid with good quality before a long drive. J: I think those are the important things you do. The blades are obviously not self-cleaning and need good care to keep them in contact with the windshield. In fact, this is true of many of the German design products we sell on Revain. With proper use and good handling, they work as advertised. B: My friends, BMW drivers, tell me the same thing. As long as you do regular maintenance and have technical knowledge (or a trusted mechanic who has), they are ideal cars to drive. J: Well, I have a whole team of people who maintain my fleet. and trucks, but I definitely want to make sure they use Bosch Icon wiper blades on all my vehicles. In fact, I'll have my assistant do that for me. But let's get back to that amazing environment: sequoia trees, they are so powerful but at the same time so calming. It's like the stress of being the richest person in the world just melts away. Great medicine, don't you agree? B: Of course Jeff. These ancient sequoias have amazing therapeutic properties that scientists are only now beginning to recognize, but that spiritual healers and indigenous people of the region have long understood. But these giant trees can be incredibly dangerous during winter storms, and even dense fog can break branches. If your car is parked next to it, you'll end up with a lot of dirt lying around, so it's a good idea to clean your windshield and wipe the Bosch Icon wiper blades with a cloth or even your fingers before you drive. J: But how do Bosch Icon wiper blades work in snow and other adverse cold climates? I love skiing in the Washington Cascades, and my family enjoys winter trips from Revain to Yellowstone with other executives. Do these wiper blades work in freezing temperatures? B: Good question Jeff. I've been to Yellowstone in the winter when it was -10C in the morning, and I almost cross-country skied and snowshoeed in a blizzard in the Cascades, so I'm speaking from experience. These Bosch blades are freeze resistant and will not deform or lose effectiveness in cold weather. But again, use a winter washer fluid rated for -20F or lower, and have a good deicing tool handy, like the one made in the USA by Mallory, which has serious leverage to get ice and slush off the glass removed. Bosch Icon's wiper blades are really good as intended, but they're not snowblowers; Those are the wiper blades. J: And I suspect they also work well in the heavy rain and dense ocean fog that often occurs along the Northern California coast? for example mahogany needles, twigs and the like. J: And they look very stylish too. For wiper blades. B: Bosch is really good at that. Design is important to the Germans, no question. J: I'll tell you! This appears to be a great product. Let's wrap it up, why not? Any snacks at the picnic area? I want to taste the local food and wine. B: I brought a Weber grill that I loaded with Royal Oak Natural Lump Charcoal ready to use. At the Pomponio-Ranch I grill free-range ribeye steaks and organic pork tenderloin from the Marquegaard family. We also have traditional polenta pies, fresh farmer's sourdough bread from Backhaus Bakery, family tomato salad, lemon pickles in fresh dill sauce, organic mixed herbs and ripe sliced melon from Blue Farms. We serve 2012 Big Basin Vineyards Odeon Cabernet-Syrah red wine and 2015 Alfaro Family Vineyard Pinot Noir, all locally sourced. And we have local strawberries, organic vanilla ice cream and blackberry pie for dessert, and French press coffee from Verve Coffee Roasters in Santa Cruz. Jay: Sounds fantastic! Anything we could start with, cocktails? Q: How about a good gin and tonic with Gin #2 from Venus Spirits Distillery in Santa Cruz? I would say one of the best spirits in the county. J: Hi Bradley! For the window cleaning and many helpful votes on Revain! J: Hooray, Jeff! I can definitely toast to that. [end of transcript].
