Works as recommended! I used this with a 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar connected to a Samsung 4K monitor. The monitor has been confirmed to correctly display 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) at 60Hz. No flickering, no sign of a problem. I used it for hours every day for a whole week. I bought another one made by a different brand but the end of the USB connector wobbles making it easy to pull off. This provides a solid, snug fit for the Thunderbolt 3 port on my MBP. You may feel a "click" when plugged in. It leaves a very small gap between the adapter and the MBP port, just like Apple made the Thunderbolt 3 (to USB) adapter (image attached). The blue LED lights up when power is applied, a nice touch.
