A 3/8 inch template cutter is hard to find. Basically, that's exactly what I need. The notable exception is the set screw that holds the bearing retainer in place - it protrudes beyond the bit. When you try to use the bit, it "bounces" every time the screw touches the material. Since the bit is only 1/2 inch high, the set screw makes the bit virtually useless. In the absence of options, I'll pass the bat. I'll try loosening the set screw, grinding it, and reinstalling it. It's a 1.5mm hex screw, so pretty small for my fat fingers. The initial shallow cuts went well. Good clean edges. After that, I quickly became disillusioned.
