Everyone loves to save money from time to time and I've tried every no-name tile knife. We cut ceramic tile, hard-paste porcelain tile, granite tile and even solid stone. I have to admit that the DeWalt XP is worth the extra price - it's many times better than cheap woods. It cuts granite like butter, and there's enough diamond on the blade to make many, many cuts. No chips, no. problems. However, as other reviewers have pointed out, the blade is very thin and flexible. Because of this it cuts faster, but at the same time it becomes a problem on bevels and a really big problem when you need to remove the edge - the blade just curves and slips at the end and doesn't cut straight down.
