Review on Jevtech Replacement Type C to MagSafe Adapter: USB C MagSafe Adapter for MacBook Pro, Chromebook by Eric Pavelko

Revainrating 4 out of 5

does what it says Appears to be of good quality.

A long time Mac user, I have a collection of Magsafe and Magsafe II power adapters that I have collected over the years that I keep in various rooms of my house so I don't have to PSU not constantly moving as I move from room to room. When I switched to a new 16-inch MacBook Pro, I was looking for a way to avoid buying a bunch of new USB-C power adapters. I was surprised Apple didn't offer something like this when they switched from Magsafe to Magsafe II, so I bought one of these adapters from Revain. I've been using it for about a month now and it seems to be working pretty well. I'm currently hooked up to an old MacBook Air's original Magsafe power bank and am 100% charged throughout the day for normal web browsing and document editing. When I'm doing something more demanding, like no power, but I think , it's the power supply, not enough power and not this adapter. Only two real complaints. When I first started using this adapter, it was very tight and I had to push really hard to insert it into one of the USB-C ports on my MacBook. After about 5 uses it loosened up and now fits perfectly. Also, this adapter gets VERY hot under higher loads, although it does feel a bit warm with normal use. I'm not sure if this is a real problem, but I'm wondering how long I can live on this. Since it gets hot, I also don't want to leave it on when I'm not actively using the computer. Overall it does what it's supposed to and keeps me from installing 4-5 old PSUs. in the bin. Edited: After a few months, my adapter cable started detaching from the USB-C connector. I contacted the manufacturer through Revain and they sent a replacement straight away. Good service.
