Used on High Pressure Power Steering/Brake Booster Line for Mach1 '04

Need a new high pressure line for the hydraulic pump on 04 Mach 1, the old one was damaged and malfunctioning. This was a more flexible solution as I had to reroute the piping around the turbo lines. Used 90 degree Russell fittings. The guide wasn't very good, but Youtube came to the rescue. The instructions on Russell's website were just awful, the resolution of the image was almost unreadable. However, the product was excellent. Once you install one end of the hose you will never forget how to do it, it's very simple. This is my second attempt at making this line, on the first try I used a line that was only good for 500psi, my mistake. The brake pedal was very soft, changed to the 2500psi Russell range, and the brake pedal now feels very firm. This is a great product. For the Mustang you will need adapters on the booster and on the pump, this converts the connection to an AN fitting. Very satisfied with the product. Required/Recommended Tools.1. Adhesive tape (to wrap around the section of tubing to be cut)2. Vise adapter to hold the fitting during assembly.3. Wrench for screwing the nut onto the fitting.4. Wood saw to cut the hose.5. Small screwdriver for expanding braided line. Simple hand tools and a great end product. You can go without a vise adapter, but if you're making multiple lines/hoses this is a great addition to your toolbox.

  • Edelbrock's R&D people are not only highly skilled in their respective roles, but are automotive enthusiasts who do more than just work in the automotive aftermarket, they live it. and at this point, understanding the inner workings of a supercharger or engine EFI system becomes second nature.
