Dorsal Or O'Neill Wrap Robe

First of all I would like to thank the many who have answered my questions about the Dorsal Surf Wrap, as I have been torn between the Dorsal and O'Neill brands . I have to be honest, I could never decide, so after the O'Neill brand went from $54 to $41, I just bought both and decided to move on. I now have both and will review both here on Revain on each product page, hopefully this will help someone else decide and as always with all my reviews I have never received anything for free or at a discounted price. . My wife and I spend a lot of time by the water, on the beach, and we often wish we had one of those wrap-around coats. We always thought one of those changeable robes would be nice to shed wet clothes and change into something dry for a boat trip, providing privacy and even cooling the air if needed. They can be used around the pool and for trips to and from the hot tub in the winter. That being said, we are in the market for two of these robes, one for a man and one for a woman. The first one I ordered and received for $39.94 was the Dorsal Robe - quick door to door delivery and arrived in a clear plastic bag. . Upon examining the bag, it turned out that the material is soft and slightly reminiscent of microfiber. I looked for a label showing what and where the product is made of but there is nothing as it is completely sterile. The color is listed as black and looks black unless you put it next to something that is actually black (Black O'Neil), hopefully that makes sense. For me, the color actually speaks for a very dark blue material, but still a nice color, and the front has high-quality embroidery on the back, no pouch or kangaroo pockets and nothing on the back. Tall, 210, muscular. The bathrobe slipped right over it with no problem and you immediately felt the softness, the quality, the thickness of the microfiber and the warmth it was able to offer. It hung down to about knee height and offered good coverage. The back robe is 2" wider at the shoulder than O'Neal's robe and approximately 1" shorter. It was comfortable on the back, but I immediately noticed that the finger holes were too small for me to slip my hands into the robe to change from the inside, and while the hood was very comfortable, the hole was for mine taste a bit tight . I also felt that the kangaroo pocket was a much needed addition for my tastes and as mentioned the armholes would need to be expanded or altered for this robe to work for me, but I could live with the hood and neck area. I remembered one of the responses I had read on this product stating that the armholes give women privacy without bringing too much danger to that area and the neck is comfortable too and after looking at the photo of the girls in this insert, I figured it made sense. Well, I'm not saying this robe isn't for men as it's a matter of taste and preference, but I will say my wife's height is 5ft 5in 110 and she also has a muscular build. This bathrobe fits her perfectly, she loved it. She hangs down to about the calf floor, she loves softness and armholes. She doesn't actually like the armholes or O'Neal's neck area, as she feels they expose that area too much when she's naked underneath. In short, I really think this robe is suitable for upper body women if not modified in any way. So in summary I really think this is a quality replacement coat that serves its intended purpose and is very suitable for women or smaller mens. . We wish they were bought cheaper, of course, but with shipping and a total cost of less than $40, there's still a lot of value here and it's going to be a while. Would love to see a logo on the back with an actual fin on the robe and a kangaroo pocket would be a welcome upgrade. We are keeping this back coat for the woman as it is exactly what she is looking for and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality microfiber wrap over coat.
