This holdall is great for storing groceries, electronics and other items that need to stay dry in inclement weather. It offers massive storage space and is moderately easy to carry. Here's my rundown of the pros and cons: PROS: Extremely water repellent. Your items stay dry. Almost guaranteed. The material is high quality and waterproof, but heavy. If you take this with you on a hike, you'll notice the extra weight of the bag itself. The picture is a bit misleading. It's almost impossible for the bag to look like the picture if the two ends are neatly connected at the top. It actually looks like this: fold the upper part several times and connect it with a strong Velcro fastener. To make it look like the picture you need to fold the top band which is different and even then it looks very crumpled and awkward. No big deal, just be aware. Too much of? I got the 23 liter version and thought it was huge. Depending on the purpose and how much stuff you need in a waterproof gym bag, I would recommend an 8 liter if possible. This reduces weight and makes it easier to carry. GENERAL: Is this a waterproof duffel bag? Yes this is good.
