This foam filter is a bit too big for my 5.5 gallon tank. I could have taken something smaller, but that's my fault. Overall, this filter is definitely worth its price. The hose is much longer than necessary and contains basically all the accessories needed to run the filter EXCEPT of course the air pump. It also arrived much earlier than the estimated delivery time. It was really nice because I needed it asap. I wish they had an air stone with them because the bubbles are very strong and a bit noisy and disturb the water. That's too strong for a betta in a 5.5 gallon aquarium. I temporarily fixed this by fitting the included flow valve, but this makes the filter less efficient and puts a lot of pressure on the air pump. Another complaint I have is that they didn't include directions or at least a picture of the filter settings. It was quite difficult to find instructions on YouTube on how to hook up a flow valve, control valve, etc.
