This is a beautiful well made cage that is easy to assemble. You don't need a craftsman and everything connects perfectly with the supplied Allen key. Very attractive and easily recognizable birds with this color. The previous cage I had was ivory colored and created a distracting "white mist" when birding. The seed hood doesn't catch everything, but 75% of what used to go over the ground with the old separator without a seed hood. Very easy to turn around when you want to chase away the birds on your terrace when the weather is nice. In addition to the latch mechanism, there is an additional hinged closure on the cage door when there are small children in the house. All you have to do is turn it over and hold it while opening the door. It can be easily removed with an Allen key if you don't want to mess with it. UPS brought me a dented box and the top panel railing was bent on both sides. Packed really well it was just a blatant pass at the UPS sorting facilities. I was able to bend the top of the cage in place and didn't have to worry about discomfort etc. You can't tell.
