Tried four other types of remote control holders but nothing worked. They either didn't have enough items (remote controls, mobile and landline phones, etc.) or they were too shallow/too deep. It's perfect! It wouldn't matter if the slots were too deep (which they aren't) because being acrylic I can see everything. I especially like it when I'm napping on the couch. My organizer is on the coffee table, ready to hand when one or both phones ring. Isn't that always the case? POOH! However, now I can take those important calls and/or ignore the robots. Now I'm looking for a car megaphone to answer them! (hehe) update: After a few days of use, I had to place pieces of gummed shelf paper (for lack of a better description) on the bottom of each section. My remotes have scratched the sections so gummed shelf paper helps prevent this and also makes it quieter.
