Review on πŸ”§ LUTER Makerbot Creality Extruder Nozzles by James Broome

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Slightly different than the stock Creality but works

The threads are about 0.5mm shorter than the attachment that came with my CR-10 Mini. At first I replaced them like any other nozzle, but then the filament ran out. After disassembly, it turned out that the nozzle no longer had any contact with my Teflon hose. Went back to the stock injector and made sure it still fits, no leaks. Went back to a new injector and the leak increased. After you adjust the PTFE tube to properly match the new nozzle, it will print fine. The only problem is that if I go back to the standard nozzle, it is about 0.5mm longer and will require readjustment of the PTFE. Normally this is trivial on a Bowden setup, but the direct drive upgrade (Creality brand) I installed has a PTFE tube cut to the exact length between the extruder and the hot end. This means that I have to keep different hoses for each nozzle type, or stick to one. I have decided to continue using the Luter tips for the time being. All the bits appear to be well made and the bit size engraving is really helpful when it's visible but gets harder to see when it gets even a little dirty. Not perfect but worth the money.
