Review on High-Resolution Touch Screen Acer T272HL Bmjjz HDMI Monitor – 27 Inch WQHD Display by Mike Zhong

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best monitor. Two cables are required to enable touch controls.

The beautiful monitor is the best I have ever used. I upgraded my 3 year old Windows 7 64-bit Dell to Windows 10 to get touch functionality and although the screen looked great the touch controls didn't work initially. FYI, so far the upgrade to Windows 10 has been smooth (surprise), although it took forever (overnight). I called Acer (866-695-2237) and a very patient tech spent about an hour with me trying to update the drivers before we found out I hadn't connected the second cable. It requires both an HDMI cable (for a regular screen) and a USB cable for touch capabilities. The instructions are a bit blurry as if they were (poorly) translated from another language. Oddly, my monitor came with a USB cable on one end (to connect to the computer) and a very strange connector on the other end that connects to the monitor. The technician said the other end was called "1800mm" and looked like two small boxes on top of each other. The 4 inch cable isn't long enough and I can't find anything online to order the 6 inch version. I actually found a part number on the Revain but it was Europe only and couldn't ship to the US. So I ordered a USB extender instead.
