Despite normal offset, it works great for recording high level music. I usually record in the red on the meters and this tape does everything well, almost as well as some high offset tapes. But no cassette is better than, for example, a TDK SA-90 with high preload, but they are so expensive that I don't bother with them anymore. But after more than 45 years of recording music on tape, I noticed something interesting. Normal bias tapes like this tend to retain more of their original recording quality much longer than high bias tapes. Additionally, professional recording artists may prefer analog over digital as it seems to convey a warmth and genuine feel that digital may lack. Burning music onto a digital CD DOES NOT GUARANTEE better sound, in fact in some cases it may not be as good. That's why I still use a cassette deck in my truck (a CD player is also available, but is used less frequently).
