The picture of the cotton swab dispenser is deceptive. It shows swabs peeking out of a hole in the lid of the container, although US-sized cotton swabs are actually much shorter. They end up in a mess in the container. You can flip the container and pop a few out of the hole, but you'll have to use your hand to hold the lid in place. Of course, it's an "easy-to-remove lid" because it doesn't fit snugly and loosely against the top of the container. It just sits loose. What's the point? I don't even use it. In fact, it's just a vessel to put anything in. It's easier to leave the lid on and just dig in to get a swab, which also makes it clearer what it is. Since tampons cannot be seen with the cap on, it's not immediately clear what they are. The bin itself is of good quality and the rubber base fixes it securely on the countertop. It just doesn't look like a proper "dispenser" for cotton swabs.
