I have only just received this vacuum so I cannot say if it will stand the test of time but my initial reaction is positive. I like that the slider for low to high is not in the handle like other similar products. I was always accidentally hitting it and changing the setting, so this is a big plus for me. Suction, weight, and ease of use are as good as the other highly rated vacuums in the same category which I have purchased before. Took a chance on this one as it did not have reviews. Was not disappointed.
