I've had both the WAX214 and WAX218 for a few weeks now to try them out at home and am very satisfied. Since I downloaded and installed the new v1.0.3.3 firmware on June 1st, I haven't experienced the rebooting issue on any device that others are talking about. I needed an access point that would allow me to create multiple SSIDs, create isolated networks, cover a large area, have the latest WPA3 security, and support a growing number of connected devices. Although I'm fairly tech-savvy, I'm no network expert, so easy setup/configuration is very important to me. WAX214 and WAX218 perfectly meet all requirements. I love the sleek industrial design that makes it easy to add anywhere in the house. I'm not a fan of the included mounting plate, but it's easy enough to bypass and install without. PoE power is a bonus, allowing me to use one cable for both power and data with a basic NETGEAR PoE+ switch. Ok, now for the configuration. There is a sticker on the ethernet port asking me to set up SSID only. I have the network WAX214XXXXXX-CONFIG-ONLY (XXXXXXX is the last 6 digits of the device's MAC address) in my list of wireless networks (same for WAX218). All I had to do was join that SSID, go to the alogin.net site and it prompted me to do the rest of the configuration. I had to create a new admin password to log in locally, enter a name and passphrase for the new network, and that was it. Easy. As I said, I had both running for weeks and there were no reboots. I now have better coverage for more devices than my previous WiFi 5 hotspot and much better security. I am very happy that I bought WAX214 and WAX218. Now I just have to decide which one to give my sister. Full Disclosure: Although I'm not on the wireless team, I work for NETGEAR. However, I wrote this review myself after purchasing the WAX214 and WAX218.
