Review on 🚰 Purewell BPA Free Filtered Water Bottle with Integrated Straw - Perfect for Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, and Travel by Edward Freeland

It works, but it's not great

This filter definitely works in terms of water filtration (tested for taste, not bacteria etc) but water has a distinct plastic taste especially when it does been in the bottle longer. The filter straw is huge, which reduces the effective capacity of the bottle somewhat. It can be quite difficult to get water out of it at times, although it seems to be worst when the water is cold. The compass in the lid is mainly decorative and there's no real reason it's there. The spout has a plastic tab that breaks easily if you drop the bottle and without that tab it's quite difficult to unscrew the spout. (If you leave the little silicone cap on, which is probably a good idea, you can tug on it instead, but that's awkward at best.) The text on the outside of the bottle reads "Magic Water Outdoors," meaning... surprisingly tactical. Not a bad bottle overall, but for general use the Camelbak range of filter bottles is still my favorite (unfortunately).

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
