Pen lengths vary greatly.

These will work well for most of my projects, although the length of the needle varies a lot, especially for small eyes. So I may have to find another use for the shorter ones. Fully functional but if you rely on consistency you might get frustrated with them. The box is also quite thin. It works quite well as an organizer, but when you tilt it the smaller eyes just fall into other compartments.

Pros

For needle felting, make a small hole by piercing the socket with a felting needle or piercing the hole with a sewing needle, then sew the eyelet into the socket and thread to the back of the head and back to the other eye with some wool to cover.
