I actually ordered a size too big as my size was out of stock so I had to alter it by adjusting the shoulder straps. I wore this to my daughter's formal wedding and reception and received many compliments! Of course, some sequins will fall off, but that's not the case. It wasn't excessive and didn't make much of a difference in the amount of sequins that came loose. I think you would expect that with any item that has some kind of shine ie. After that I took this dress and jacket to the dry cleaner and everything was fine but I use good quality cleaners not "budget" cleaners as I wanted the dress to be properly cleaned and not damaged. I have tried on many long dresses to wear to my daughter's wedding and was delighted to find this one! It was comfortable and helped not to show every lump and bulge on a person wearing this size. :)
