Review on πŸ’» Enhance Your Workstation with the Lorell Sit-to-Stand Monitor Riser in Sleek Black Design by Abaraham Duvernot

Revainrating 3 out of 5

While I'm working, I'll try to get Varidek in the future as well.

I bought this because I work at home on my computer all day. Sitting all the time takes its toll and when I was working at my desk I used a Varidesk riser and loved it. I don't have money for Varidesk for my home office, but I needed something to help my lower back. This more affordable stand is just the right size for my needs (the top shelf holds my dual monitors and the keyboard shelf holds my roller mouse and extra wide keyboard with attached wrist art). This riser goes down normally, but lifting it from the closed position requires extra strength and is NOT easy. I had read about this in previous reviews and thought it was worth the inconvenience given the price; However, it's really difficult to lift without some degree of force and if you have back problems it might not be a wise decision to buy one as I think you could potentially hurt your back even more with an effort. I'm not a doctor but I have back problems and I didn't particularly like the feel of having to pull this stand from a closed position just to set it up. Unfortunately I could afford it now. I really plan on saving my money to buy the Varidesk instead because it's a 5 star riser for sure. I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive! :(So for the following recaps about this riser: 1. Assembly required? No, comes assembled out of the box 2. Very well packaged! 3. Perfect size for the average computer user or office worker using two monitors (or smaller). ).4.The keyboard tray is long enough to hold large keyboards and possibly specialized mice (like my RollerMouse Pro). Shelf dimensions: about 23.5 inches wide and 11.5 inches deep, it bothers you, you should measure your space. a ton of weight on the top shelf (I keep a notepad or two and usually a hot drink and a cold drink in addition to my monitors on the top shelf) 6. Ease of use: the biggest problem - lifting from the closed position. Lowering is not that difficult 7. So far in the closed position it does NOT move at all and does not budge. So "l locked" means locked. 8. The price is very reasonable considering the cost of other risers of this type. Its stability helps justify the cost. If they could make getting up easier without adding any physical strain to the user, it would easily give this riser a FIVE STAR rating. The difficulty of climbing this boner cost him two stars in my opinion.
